Multi-time Super Pro champion Marty Rinehart raced his way through a tough field and seven rounds of competition to pay a visit this weekend to Maple Grove Raceway's Victory Lane in the Rinehart's Performance-built Guest & Rinehart Super Stock Camaro. Marty's opponent in the final, the always-tough Jack Sepanek, uncharacteristically fouled out while Marty ran 9.911 at 135.25 and a .033 reaction time.

Life just got a little sweeter for Marty Rinehart.
Rinehart, who spent the 2009 racing season chasing points in the IHRA Patriots Division in the Super Stock category, was named the 2009 winner of the American Race Cars “Free Ride” program when the winner was announced last month at the IHRA World Finals at Rockingham Dragway.
Rinehart was one of over three dozen drivers eligible for the program which is made possible by the incredible people at American Race Cars. Rinehart will receive a $10,000 gift certificate good toward the purchase of a new car through American Race Cars.
Rinehart’s name was drawn from a pool of randomly selected entries from each of the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour events presented by Mr. Gasket.
Rinehart became eligible when his name was pulled at a Patriots Division event at Maryland International Raceway in April.

Toyo Tires Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway was the event where Marty Rinehart
driving the Guest & Rinehart Camaro proved himself to be strange, actually Perfectly Strange as a matter of fact. In the first round of competition, Marty coupled a .003 reaction time with a 9.900 on a 9.90 dial in to beat John Armstrong from Canada in his SS/AA 69 Corvette.

At the 2009 Maple Grove Raceway Memorial Day Points Race, the team of Guest & Rinehart had another great weekend, this time in the NHRA ball park and with a semi- final round appearance. The Camaro was running nearly flawless the whole race and the driver was conservatively consistant on the tree, making for a very productive outcome in the NHRA Division 1 points race.
Team driver Marty Rinehart, Jr. did a superb job driving the Guest & Rinehart SS/EA ’69 Camaro to defeat Mark Young, Wake Forest, NC, for the IHRA Pro-Am Tour Super Stock win at Maryland International Raceway on April 18, 2009. Marty, his dad Mart, and Larry Guest visited the MIR Winners Circle to celebrate their first IHRA Super Stock victory. MIR track owner , Royce Miller presented the IRON MAN to Marty. Guest & Rinehart is off to a great start in the 2009 IHRA Pro Am points chase, thanks to the world-class products and support of JEGS, ATI, Santhuff and Hoosier! The team finished off the weekend with a quarter finals finish on Sunday at MIR.

Mart Rinehart and Larry Guest formed the Guest & Rinehart Drag Race Team in 1993. With Marty Rinehart, Jr. driving, they bracket raced a 27-T roadster for five years before converting to Super Gas. Later, the team raced a ‘68 Caprice in Stock and won NHRA class championships at 2 national events. Earning a #6 finish in NHRA’s Division 1 in 2000 convinced the team to move up to Super Stock. They raced in Stock Eliminator while their Super Stock ’69 Camaro was under construction at Rinehart’s Performance Race Cars.
The team’s first year in Super Stock, Guest & Rinehart posted impressive results, including a number of semi-final, runner-up and final-round appearances. At NHRA National Open events at Atco Raceway and Mason Dixon Dragway, they were winner and runner-up, respectively. NHRA Divisional races saw the team achieve success as well. At the Numidia Raceway NHRA Division 1 Points race, they advanced to the semi-final round. At an East Coast Stock Super Stock Association event, they advanced to the final round at Atco Raceway. Finally, at Beaver Springs Dragway, they runner-upped at their first-ever IHRA Divisional race. Each year they continue to improve by going quicker and faster down the quarter mile. The results are winning more rounds and promoting our current sponsors products to promote more sales.
